Jake Day

On Tuesday's my Mom and I usually pick up my nephew Jake from Kindergarten at 11:30 a.m. and go to McDonalds, Wendy's, Burger King (who ever may have a fun toy) or meet my Dad for lunch and then run errands or play games. Today my Mom was not able to go so it was just Jake and I.

While we were driving down the street I pointed out that the flags were at half-mast. He asked why that was. I told him that when really important people die like President Hinckley, flags go to half-mast so we can remember them.

I then said, "Isn't that neat?"

Jake responded, "Yeah," he said then said "like for me"?

"Yes, Jake." I said with a huge smile, "but that won't be for a long, long, long, long time to come!"

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Jake Day. Today he even gave me the password to get into his room. But I can't tell because I promised to keep it a secret, although he told me that I could tell Uncle Keith.

Keith reminds me all the time that if we hadn't moved back to Utah, I would never being having such great times and making memories with my nephews.

That is so cool that you get to have "Jake Day" every week. I'm sure his mom loves "Jake Day" just as much as you do!!

Jake is lucky to have you as his aunt. What does he call you?
